Pictured from top to bottom: Raue, Plain White T's, The Used
Marathon Music Works kicked off last Sunday night with rock duo Raue! This electric pair was the perfect opener to get the audience geared up for a memorable night in Music City. Raue's rendition of 'Creep' by Radiohead was one to remember and was one of the crowd's favorites, as many joined in to sing. Vocalist Paige Kalenien had a powerful voice with a classic rock edge. Paired with lightning-fast drummer Jax Huckle, the two transported the audience to a rock paradise.
Following our rising star duo was the Plain White T's! The lights hit, the first chord struck, and lead singer Tom Higgenson came to life! There was jumping, swaying, and the energy was indescribable! The band played their most recently released album coincidently named 'Plain White T's' but made sure to play 'Hey There Delilah' twice. Shrek even made a guest appearance for the second time which had the entire audience but pleasantly suprised. Shrek even conducted the audience as the crowd pulled out their flashlights to sway together. The set began to draw to an end as the anticipation for the used was nearly palpable.
